KatePrince William and Kate Middleton first came into contact when they were students of St. Andrews in 2001. Prince William was reportedly attracted by Kate Middleton's transparent dress at a fashion showcase. They were together. Middleton, Prince William and two other St. Andrews students were roomsmates during the second year at St. Andrews. Around this point in time, Kate Middleton began to suffer harassment from media sources. The harassment prompted several people to call for legal action, including royals and Kate's family lawyer. In 2007 Kate and William ended their relationship due to reasons that are not clear. However, shortly afterward, it was believed that they would reunite.
