Kellie Pickler is one of "American Idol's" best graduates, despite not winning the show's title. Kellie Pickler was born on the 28th of June, 1986 at Stanly Memorial Hospital Albemarle. Her parents are Cynthia Morton and Clyde Raymond Pickler. The mother of the child was just 16 when she became pregnant with her. Pickler experienced a challenging childhood because of her drug and alcohol dependence, while her mother abandoned her after the age of two. Morton took Pickler's custody for two years. Pickler said that things were unsettling. "I was in the kitchen with my mother when I told her that I would rather die than stay in this place.' She pulled out a knife and set it down on the counter, and then said, 'Here, do it then.' The fourth grade was when she learned this. It's true that I would never be able to take it into consideration and it's caused me an awful amount of emotional damage," she said. Pickler aged twelve years old, was given to her parents after the court case. Pickler was raised by her grandmothers throughout her entire life. She cites them as being the most influential individuals in her life. Her grandmother Faye Pickler died from lung cancer in January 2002 and she was subsequently raised by the grandfather. Pickler earned her graduation diploma from the North Stanly in New London, North Carolina.
